About Us

Hello

I just wanted to introduce myself and let you know a little bit about how Mac Clothing Co. was founded.

My Name is Tahnii Cunning and I am a 25 year old mother of two.
Seven years ago when I was 18 I met a crazy, fun, loving and caring 17 year old by the name of Mitchell Sibraa and not long after we started dating. Mitchell was born in Wagga Wagga and was the eldest of three children. His family moved a few times when they were younger before settling on the Sunshine Coast. Mitchell attended the same school as me but was in the year below me. From the moment I met Mitch he spoke about starting his own T-Shirt Business, he would draw designs and have a list of business names in a scrapbook. Every time he was off work sick or bored at home he would pull this scrapbook out and draw more designs and do his research. Unlike most of us Mitch could draw anything and everything, and had a million ideas for what he could put onto his shirts. This remained an idea for 5 years, he would always talk about it but would never take the next step.

In February 2015 Mitchell and myself found out we were expecting a little bundle of joy, and the news definitely came as a surprise. After what felt like a lifetime our darling Daughter Indii Mae entered the world on her Daddy's 20th Birthday, 14th October. After spending every day with my little one for 3 months I knew I wasn't ready to return to work so in January 2016 I taught myself how to sew. I then launched my own Handmade Baby/Childrens Clothing line called Indii & I.

On the 6th of January 2017 Mitchell's brother Bailey Passed away unexpectedly in a Car Accident. Mitchell took this news very hard as him and his brother were inseparable and from this moment his whole world changed.

A few weeks after the accident when things started settling down we found out we were expecting another little bundle of joy. September 5th our second daughter Amity Grace decided to entered the world and we became a family of four.

On the 7th of July 2018 Mitchell made the fateful decision to take his own life, not because he didn't love me or his beautiful girls, or his family, but because the thought of living without his brother was unbearable for him.

Mitchell has left behind a lot of people who love him dearly, including his mum, dad and sister.

Creating a clothing line was always something Mitch dreamt of doing and we would love to bring it to life to honour of him. We would also like to help raise awareness for suicide prevention and mental health. A portion of the proceeds from every sale will go towards a charity, mental health, suicide prevention or a family who has just lost a loved one.
